The recording function built in to the drum module gives you constant insight into your own playing, furthering your knowledge and enhancing you as a player.

DTX Touch is an intuitive training app (Android/iOS) that will modernize your learning experience in an enjoyable and easy way to follow. Using the challenge mode function, you can play along to the built-in training tracks like a game. Once you’ve defeated the final stage, you’ll receive a certificate of achievement from Yamaha that will grade you on each genre. The app also works with the Rec’ n’ Share app which is available on Android and iOS, so you can perform your favourite music and share it with the world, directly from the module.

The challenge mode is only one piece of the DTX402 training app, you can also fully customise kits to meet your own individual preferences and watch video tutorials for practice exercises – giving you a more familiar interface when learning new skills and customising your sound.

The DTX432 comes complete with 3 toms, a snare, crash, ride, hi-hat and pedal- as well as a realistic-feel kick pad and pedal instead of the quiet pedal featured on the DTX402.
